Splash Pad is the place to be Wednesday for water games, free hot dogs
A POP UP in the Parks is planned at the Veterans Park Splash Pad as the City celebrates Parks & Recreation Month.
It will be from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 22. Newcastle Parks & Recreation Director Kyle Marks said, “Cool off with us at the Veterans Park Splash Pad for an afternoon of fun for the whole family.”
There will be free hot dogs courtesy of Pioneer, snow cones available for purchase, water balloon games, water gun battles, and yard games.
This event is also a chance to meet the Newcastle Parks & Recreation team. These are the people who keep Newcastle parks, trails, the splash pad, ballfields, and facilities looking their best while planning and hosting the events the community enjoys throughout the year.
Marks said, “Come celebrate Parks & Recreation Month, meet your Parks & Recreation team, and enjoy a fun afternoon in the park.”
