Newcastle sees increase in April retail

The City of Newcastle added an additional $40,000 to coffers from April 2026 Sales and Use Taxes over the amount returned in the previous year.

However, taking a look at area municipalities, Lindsay and Norman showed the largest gains in Sales and Use Taxes compared to last year. Norman was up $427,835 while Lindsay was up nearly $88,000 compared to June 2025 collections.

Purcell was up nearly $48,000 and Blanchard showed an increase of nearly $60,000.

These are the June figures from the Oklahoma Tax Commission, but again, they are based on sales during the month of April.
