Newcastle Public Schools has named Mike Miller as the new facilities manager.
Miller said, “This is an exciting time for me and I am enthusiastic about the opportunities ahead. I am committed to working hard, learning from my colleagues and helping NPS achieve its goals.”
For the past three years, Miller has worked as a maintenance worker for Newcastle Schools and has played a crucial role in ensuring daily operations run smoothly. He has previously worked in carpentry and plumbing.
“Our buildings and grounds are the foundation of everything we do here, and I am confident that under Mike’s leadership, our facilities will continue to be safe, welcoming, and well-maintained,” said Assistant Superintendent Kristi Ferguson. “I am excited to have his previous district experience to continue building and improving our district’s physical infrastructure.”
