This week’s Chickasaw Nation news features a woman who brings together a compassion for children in foster care and a love for her Chickasaw culture to make ribbon skirts which are gifted to First American children in foster care. Michaela Parrott is a WIC community dietician for the Chickasaw Nation. A second story looks at the Joint Training Academy collaboration of the Chickasaw Lighthorse and the Moore Police Department. Among those featured is a Newcastle Chickasaw Lighthorse officer, Brycen Ingrum.
