Quilt Block Kits are now available for purchase at the McClain County Oklahoma State University Extension Office.
The Quilt Block Challenge contest will be held at the Mc-Clain County Fair, September 7-12, 2026. This year’s Quilt Block Challenge is a tribute to the celebration of the anniversary of McClain County Fair’s 100th year and the Nation’s 250th year.
For this celebration, the featured color of fabrics is red, white, and blue.
The McClain County OSU Extension office is located at 1721 Hardcastle Blvd. Street in Purcell. The cost of the fabric kit is $6.
Winners of the contest are determined by viewer’s choice voting. The McClain County Home and Community Education sponsor premiums for the contest. Quilt Blocks entered in the contest become the property of the McClain County Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE). Members will complete the blocks into a quilt that will be raffled at the 2027 McClain County Fair.
