This week’s Chickasaw Nation news focuses on Mahota Textiles and the recovery of its business and rebuilding of its facilities after the April 27, 2024, EF3 tornado that tore through Sulphur. They’ve settled into a new downtown location at 500 W. Muskogee in Sulphur, but the Chickasaw Nation plans to rebuild at their original site. Also noted is a special “afternoon with artist Brent Greenwood” at Exhibit C Gallery in Oklahoma City, from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, June 27.
