The community is invited to attend the 2026 Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Newcastle Memorial Gardens located at 2345 S. Main St. The ceremony will begin promptly at noon.
Presented by the Blanchard Veterans Honor Guard, the ceremony serves as a time for residents, families, and visitors to come together in remembrance of the men and women who gave their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The event will feature a traditional Memorial Day observance honoring the sacrifices made by fallen service members and recognizing the importance of preserving their legacy for future generations.
“This ceremony is an opportunity for our community to pause, reflect, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country,” said Kyle Marks, director of Newcastle Parks and Recreation. “Memorial Day is more than a holiday — it is a day of remembrance and gratitude.”
