Eastbound and westbound I-44 (runs north and south) will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between S.W 149th St. and the H.E. Bailey Turnpike near Newcastle from 7 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday and continuing nightly through the end of May for surface sampling. The I-44 frontage roads will also be narrowed to one lane and controlled by flaggers. Drivers should be aware of workers and equipment in the work zone.
