We’ve been working diligently the last few months on a special section for this week’s issue of the Newcastle Pacer. The graduation section features our 2026 Newcastle High School graduates.
The full-color 32-page special section is a keepsake, published in a tabloid size to make it more of a magazine style.
Newcastle Public Schools graciously worked with the Pacer staff again this year, providing the senior photos, and a questionnaire for the seniors, who wanted to participate, to fill out. We want to also say thank you to those seniors who took their time to answer questions posed on the Google document.
Editor and Publisher Mark Codner said this is a special time for the graduates. He said he is a 1981 high school graduate, and still has the special section created by his local hometown newspaper at the time.
“This keepsake edition of the Pacer is always near to my heart, knowing that this is a special time for the seniors and their parents, siblings, and grandparents,” Codner said. “We hope you will make the purchase of this week’s newspaper and after you’ve read through it, put it back in your keepsakes. When you get older, you won’t regret it.”
