Mid-America Technology Center (MATC) is proud to announce CVR Energy, Inc. as its 2026 Partner in Progress, recognizing the company’s longstanding commitment to workforce development, community partnership, and educational advancement across southcentral Oklahoma.

CVR Energy, Inc., a leading North American renewable fuels, petroleum refining, and nitrogen-based fertilizer company, is a major employer and economic driver in Wynnewood and the surrounding region. Guided by core values that prioritize safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical business practices, the company has built a reputation as a dedicated corporate citizen and a proud member of the Wynnewood community. CVR Energy’s commitment to continuous improvement and professional development has fueled a strong, ongoing partnership with Mid-America Technology Center.

As part of MATC’s affiliation with the Oklahoma Association of Career & Technical Education (OKACTE), the technology center annually recognizes an outstanding business partner at the Partners in Progress Banquet in Oklahoma City. At this year’s event, held at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, MATC honored CVR Energy, Inc. for its exceptional support and impact.

Over the years, CVR Energy has played a vital role in the success of MATC’s Professional Resource Outreach programs. In 2025, the company contributed $84,000 to launch a new initiative and establish the CVR Energy, Inc. District 8 Hub Store— an on-campus resource supporting MATC’s new Retail & Dining Assistant Program.

Through this program, students gain hands-on experience in retail and dining operations while helping meet essential needs within the student body. The Hub Store provides nutritional after-school meals, professional clothing, trade-related supplies, and personal hygiene items at no cost or reduced cost to students facing financial barriers. These resources are made possible through generous contributions from CVR Energy and other community partners.

CVR Energy’s investment reflects a deep commitment to strengthening the local workforce, supporting students, and uplifting the broader community. Their generosity and partnership exemplify the spirit of collaboration that drives progress throughout the Mid-America district.

Mid-America Technology Center is honored to recognize CVR Energy, Inc. as its 2026 Partner in Progress and celebrates the company’s continued dedication to education, opportunity, and community advancement.
