McClain-Grady County Emergency Medical Service reports 272 total calls for the month of March 2026. Of those, 122 were non-transport, while 150 were billed calls.
The EMS District also recently underwent an annual audit by the State of Oklahoma, and they were in compliance on accounting and operations.
They report an average response time of 8.73 minutes, and an average miles traveled per patient transport of 10.78. They responded to 12 mutual aid calls.
The types of calls Mc-Clain-Grady EMS had were: Abdominal pain, 22; active labor, 1; alcohol intoxication, 1; allergic reaction, 1; altered consciousness, 8; animal bite, 1; anxiety, 1; assault, 4; auto accident, 22; burns, 1; cardiac arrest, 6; chest pain, 20; fall, 33; fire standby, 3; hemorrhage, 1; hyperglycemia, 2; hypertension, 5; hyperthermia, 1; hypoglycemia, 2; hypotension, 3; laceration, 2; lift assist, 12; overdose, 2; police standby, 3; psychiatric emergency, 1; seizure, 13; shortness of breath, 18; sick call, 50; stroke, 4; suicide attempt, 1; syncope, 23; traumatic injury, 2; and welfare check, 3.
A mandatory annual audit of McClain-Grady EMS District conducted by State Auditor & Inspector Cindy Byrd’s office, indicates that operations and accounting for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, were in compliance.
Byrd’s office states that there were no exceptions noted.
