Newcastle Chamber joins Blanchard, Purcell for Day at the State Capitol

A Day at the Capitol was planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday this week for some members of the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce.

They were joined by members of the Blanchard and Purcell Chambers of Commerce, and the event was led by Newcastle Chamber CEO/ Executive Director Gayla Riddle.

Their agenda included a 9 a.m. breakfast while they were addressed by Cyndi Munson, D-HD85. Senator Brad Boles, R-HD 51, met with those attending next. He was followed byHD-20republicanrepresentative Jonathon Wilk.

From10:15-10:45a.m,attendees met with Dalton Miller of the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce. Miller was followed by republican Darrell Weaver,R-SD24,andthenKevin West, R-HD54.

A noon luncheon was sponsored by State Senator Kendal Sacchierri, R-SD43. She addressed those attending at 1 p.m. Joe Hill, executive officer of Governmental Affairs and Partnerships for the Chickasaw Nation, then addressed the attendees at 1:30 p.m. about Tribal Affairs.

The day was filled with advocating for local business concerns.
