Pioneer Library System joins libraries across the country in celebrating National Library Week, April 19–25. The week is an initiative of the American Library Association that highlights the vital role libraries play in strengthening communities and enriching lives.
This year’s theme, “Celebrate Library Joy!,” invites the community to reflect on the many ways libraries bring happiness and connection. Whether it’s discovering a new favorite book, learning a valuable skill, or gathering with others, libraries are spaces where joy thrives.

From books, eBooks, audiobooks, and digital collections to free Wi-Fi and public computers, the library ensures equitable access to information and technology. Patrons can also take advantage of career and job assistance workshops, explore creativity in Maker Labs, and participate in STEAM programs and community events that support lifelong learning.
