State Senator Kendal Sacchieri, R-Blanchard, recognized the lives and service of Goldsby Fire Department volunteer firefighter Todd Pendleton and Fire Administrator Bryan Jenkins, following their tragic loss in the line of duty. They were honored on the Senate floor Pendleton, 62, and Jenkins, 64, lost their lives on March 20, 2026, while responding to a structure fire in McClain County when their tanker truck overturned.
Pendleton served as a dedicated volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Goldsby Fire Department for 12 years, consistently answering the call to serve and protect his community.
Jenkins served for 35 years as a first responder, fulfilling a lifelong calling to firefighting and ultimately serving as Fire Administrator.
Sacchieri said their loss is a solemn reminder of the risks first responders face and the level of commitment required to serve others.
“These men did not hesitate when their community needed them — they stepped forward,” Sacchieri said. “That kind of service reflects the very best of Oklahoma. Their lives were defined by duty, and their loss is deeply felt not just in Goldsby, but also across our state.”
The Oklahoma Senate formally recognized Pendleton and Jenkins with a citation honoring their service and extending condolences to their families, fellow first responders, and the entire Goldsby community.
“We owe them more than recognition — we owe them our respect, our gratitude, and a commitment to never forget the sacrifice they made,” Sacchieri said. “My thoughts and prayers are with their loved ones and all those who served alongside them.”
