MATC MONTHLY SPOTLIGHT / From the desk of Mike Eubank

Campus News: Career Fair

On Monday, March 9, 2026, Mid-America Technology Center welcomed more than 70 industry partners to campus for our 2026 successful Career Fair, creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect with employers and explore future career pathways.

Several students reported immediate opportunities, with one student sharing enthusiastically, “I’ve got interviews lined up!” The welcoming atmosphere was felt by all attendees. MATC Student Ambassadors played a vital role by assisting with tours, serving lunch provided by MATC, and supporting event logistics while demonstrating exceptional professionalism. During the midday luncheon, industry partners received updates on the direction and partnerships of Mid-America Technology Center. Superintendent Mike Eubank delivered a State of the School message, while campus leaders shared information on advisory boards, expanding work-based learning, Professional Resource and Outreach (PRO) services, apprenticeship initiatives, and workforce development partnerships.

Industry representatives expressed strong support for both the event and the caliber of MATC students. Derrick Bishop of Davis Machine Shop noted his best hire came from MATC and hopes to add another graduate, while Jonathan Cook of Cudd Pressure Control shared excitement about expanding partnerships through internships and apprenticeships.

The MATC Career Fair continues to strengthen the connection between education and workforce development, ensuring students graduate with both technical skills and direct industry connections that lead to career success.
