Sick calls most prevalent for MCGEMS responses

McClain-Grady County Emergency Medical Services had 221 total calls for the month of February 2025.

Among those were 116 billed calls and 105 non-transport calls. They averaged 8.39 seconds per call, and had an average miles per patient transport of 10.41.

Types of calls were the following: Abdonimal pain, 14; alcohol intoxication, 2; allergic reaction, 1; altered consciousness, 6; animal bite, 1; anxiety episode, 4; assault, 6; auto pedestrian, 2; auto accident, 21; cardiac arrest, 5; chest pain, 15; choking, 1; fall, 27; fire standby, 4; gunshot wound, 2; hyperglycemia, 1; hypertension, 3; hypoglycemia, 2; hypotension, 3; laceration, 1; lift assist, 11; overdose, 5; psychiatric emergency, 4; seizure, 12; shortness of breath, 13; sick call, 31; sports injury, 1; stroke, 4; suicide attempt, 1; syncope, 11; and welfare check, 7.
