Mitchell Jacob, Democrat candidate for Congressional District 4, will be the guest speaker at a Tri-City Women in Action meeting today (Thursday).
The meeting will be at the Newcastle Library at 7 p.m. Jacob will share his ideas for bringing change to the government. Following a kitchen table conversation, the group will plan for the Newcastle Day of Action.
Interested volunteers will gather from 1-4 p.m. at the Library on Saturday April 4. From there they will partner up, knock doors and ask residents to vote in the June 16 primary election. Men and women are invited to attend.
Women in Action will also be electing officers, and discussing legislation at the State Capitol. Chrissie Ward will speak about transgender bills and others that are coming up soon.
