Oklahoma artist John Allen will be featured in a family-friendly concert at 6:30 p.m. on Friday April 10 at The Barn at Country Club.
He also will be the focus of a Newcastle Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at noon on April 2 in front of Jay London Plaza, 550 N.E. 24th Street in Newcastle.
At The Barn at Country Club event, there will be a full cash bar available, and a food truck provided by barbecue specialist Newman’s Fire House.
Allen attended school at Chickasha High School and then at Oklahoma State University, where he earned a masters degree in accounting. He is the son of John Allen and Laurie Allen of Chickasha. His dad, John Allen, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Bank of Oklahoma, with branches in Newcastle, Chickasaw and Verden. Laurie Allen serves on the Chickasha Public Schools Board of Education. Both are OSU graduates.
As a singer and songwriter John Allen performs an accoustic set in the Country and Red dirt genre. He recently released his new single, “Regret,” and his second single was released March 27. Both singles are available

JOHN ALLEN: Concert, ribbon cutting set for artist
Allen is pursuing music now as a full-time career. He has been invited to record in Nashville twice and will be releasing more songs to streaming platforms throughout 2026.
Allen has been interested in music throughout his life, and played all over the state, but especially enjoys performing in the Bricktown area of Oklahoma City. He performed last year at The Barn at Country Club when he opened for country artist Kylee Higgins.

Tickets for the local music event at The Barn at Country Club are $10 per person at the door. The Barn at Country Club is located at 1675 OK-37 in Newcastle.
The ribbon cutting is open to the public and will serve as a meet and greet for the artist. Finger foods are expected to be available.
