The deadline to change party affiliation in Oklahoma is March 31. No party changes are allowed from April 1 through August 31 during an even-numbered year. If the McClain County Election Board recieves a request after March 31, they are required by law to hold it and process it in September.
Registered voters who become physically incapacitated after 5 p.m. on Monday, March 23 and are unable to make it to the polls, still have an opportunity to cast their ballot. They can vote under special provisions. Contact the McClain County Election Board for more information.
A new Early Voting Site for McClain County is being opened at the Historic City Hall at 114 W. Broadway in Blanchard. The McClain County Election Board felt it beneficial to voters in the Newcastle and Blanchard areas to open this site. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 for the April 7 Board of Education General Election.
