Newcastle Parks & Recreation and the City of Newcastle are planning a fun family outing for 2 p.m. March 28 at Veterans Park.
This year’s Easter in the Park will feature the Great EGGSCAPE egg hunt. It begins at 2 p.m., and there will be music, hotdogs and games following the hunt.
Age groups for the hunt will be 3 and under, 4-7 years old, and 8-12 years old. Inside the Newcastle Library from 2-3 p.m. is a hunt for individuals with disabilities.
Parks & Recreation Director Kyle Marks said business booth sign-ups are still underway for the event. Each booth must include a kid-friendly game or activity. He said this is a great way to advertise your business or organization to the community. No vendors selling items will be accepted since this is a completely free event for the community, Marks said.
