Selah voters to decide if town should be incorporated
During its February 17 regular weekly board meeting, the McClain County Board of commissioners unanimously voted to call for an election to incorporate Selah as a town in Oklahoma.
County Commissioners Wilson Lyles, Terry Daniel and Glen Murray found that all requirements for incorporation have been fully compiled. The board was required to call an election, and the special election date has been set for June 16 asking voters residing within the proposed town territory whether or not to make Selah an incorporated town.
County clerk Rebekah Couch has requested the Mc-Clain Election Board to hold the special election.
