McClain County Commissioners renewed the countywide Burn Ban during their meeting Monday morning at the McClain County Courthouse.
The ban will continue for another 14 days due to dry and windy conditions.
Under the ban it is unlawful for any person to set fire to any forest, grass, range, crop or other wild lands or to build a campfire or bonfire or to burn trash or other material that may cause a wild fire.
Exceptions include equipment related to road construction like equipment that uses propane or other controlledtype burners, but commissioners said it would be prudent to have a water pumper on standby near grassy areas.
