Easter in the Park returns to Veterans Park on March 28
The community is invited to celebrate spring at Easter in the Park on Saturday, March 28, at Veterans Park.
Newcastle Parks & Recreation Director Kyle Marks said the Easter Egg Hunt, dubbed “The Great Eggscape,” is for all ages. It starts at 2 p.m. and is organized by age groups to ensure “a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.” Games, activities, and family fun will follow the Egg Hunt throughout the park until 4 p.m., Marks said.
“Easter in the Park is about giving families a simple, fun afternoon together,” Marks said. “We focus on creating an event that’s welcoming, wellorganized, and easy for families to enjoy.”
Age groups for the egg hunt will be clearly marked on-site.
An inclusive, sensoryfriendly zone will be available inside Newcastle Library, offering a quieter space for children and families who may need a break from the main event.
“We want every child to feel comfortable participating,” Marks said. “The inclusive zone gives families another option while still being part of the day.”
Easter in the Park is a free, family-focused event open to the public.
Families are encouraged to arrive early for the egg hunt and stay to enjoy the activities planned for all ages.
