Connor Leader left the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association Class 5A West Swimming Regionals at Edmond Schools Aquatic Center over the weekend with two first place titles.
Leader won the 100 Butterfly and the 200-meter Individual Medley. The IM is composed of the Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle.
In the 200 IM, Connor secured first place with a time of 1:56.84. He enters the state competition as the top seed, followed by the second-fastest swimmer at 2:06.
In the 100 fly, Connor also placed first with a time of 52.94. He holds the number one seed for this event as well, with the second-fastest time recorded at 55.53.
Swimmers represented 19 Class 5A schools from the west side of the state.
Leader next travels to the OSSAA Class 5A State Swim Meet. It will be at 10 a.m. on February 20-21, at Edmond.
