Newcastle’s girls added two more wins onto their 2025-26 basketball season. They beat Lawton MacArthur, 81-52, on February 3,and beat Bishop McGuinness, 74-44, on February 6.
The wins make 15 in a row for the Racers, with no losses to Oklahoma teams. Their only losses on their 19-2 overall season came in an out-ofstate tournament.
Against Bishop McGuiness, the Racers outscored their opponent in each period. Amara King had the high score of 20 points for the Racers. Kalani Kindred had 13 points, while Reagan Greenroyd and Jordyn Richardson added 10 each.
Jailiana Salas and Lilly Taliaferro had 6 each, Ziyah Sims hit 5, and Khloe Young had 4.
McGuinness was led by Kash Cooper with 20 points.
Against Lawton MacArthur, the Racers had periods of 15, 27, 18 and 21, to MacArthur’s 10, 11, 20 and 11.
Newcastle spread its scoring out amongst players with Kindred leading the way. She had 19 points in the game. Sims had 13, Taliaferro had 11, and Richardson, Emerson Marble, and King had 10 each.
Salas had 5 points, Greenroyd had 2, and Makayla Brown had 1.
Isabella Rapalo had 20 points to lead MacArthur offensively.
The Lady Racers played Classen School of Advanced Studies on Tuesday, and they are scheduled to play Tuttle and Altus to finish out regular season competition.
