ORDINANCE NO. 1009

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWCASTLE, OKLAHOMA, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING DISTRICTS MAP OF SAID CITY, BY CHANGING THE ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION FOR THE HERE-IN-BELOW-DESCRIBED TRACT OF LAND; AUTHORIZING THE CHANGE OF SAID ZONING DISTRICT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING DISTRICTS MAP OF SAID CITY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City has provided notice and conducted a public hearing upon said proposed Zoning District change, all in accordance with Oklahoma Statutes and the City’s adopted Zoning Ordinance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Newcastle, Oklahoma:
SECTION 1: Tract Re-Zoned.
The official Zoning Districts Map of the City of Newcastle, Oklahoma, is hereby amended by changing the Zoning District Classification of the following tract of land to: E-1 (Suburban Estate Residential)

SECTION 2: Change to Zoning Map Authorized.

A part of the North Half of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter (N½ S½ NW¼) of Section Sixteen (16), Township Nine (9) North, Range Four (4) West, I.M., McClain County, Oklahoma, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the ½” Iron Pin at the Southwest Corner (SW/C) of the Northwest Quarter (NW¼) of said Section Sixteen (16); thence N 00°02’15” E, along the West line of said Northwest Quarter (NW¼), a distance of 1101.16 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing N 00°02’15” E, along said West line, a distance of 220.00 feet to the Northwest Corner of the North Half of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter (N½ S½ NW¼) of said Section Sixteen (16); thence N 89°55’08” E, along the North line of the North Half of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter (N½ S½ NW¼) of said Section Sixteen (16), a distance of 493.65 feet; thence S 42°29’47” W a distance of 239.83 feet; thence S 01°01’39” W a distance of 43.41 feet; thence S 89°55’08” W a distance of 331.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING (Smith, Connor R2026-001)
Said Amendment hereinabove described is hereby authorized to be added to the Official Zoning Districts Map of the City of Newcastle, Oklahoma, by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: Emergency

It being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, peace, safety and welfare of this the residents of the City of Newcastle, Oklahoma, that this re-zoning takes effect as soon as possible, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof this Ordinance shall take full force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval as required by law.
