The 17 category finalists for the Best of Chickasaw Country awards have been announced and voting is now open. Some of the finalists were from the Newcastle area.
Visit ChickasawCountry. com to vote. Votes can be cast daily until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22. Winners in each category will be announced March 23.
The competition advances to the second phase, where fans are invited to vote for their top picks across 17 categories.
This year’s finalists from Newcastle area are: Best Casino, Riverwind Casino – Norman; Best Festival, Chickasha Festival of Light – Chickasha; Best Festival, Heart of Oklahoma Music Festival – Purcell; Best Golf Course, Brent Bruehl Memorial Golf Course – Purcell; Best Live Performance Venue, Showplace Theatre at Riverwind Casino - Norman; Best Overall Dining, Crispy’s Trading Co. – Blanchard; Best Run or Ride,Rock Island Ride – Chickasha; and Best Winery or Brewery, Shakespeare Wine Company - Chickasha.
