
Troy Dale Wesnidge, age 81, of Newcastle, Oklahoma, passed away on January 28, 2026. He was the son of Jack Monroe Wesnidge and Gwendola Irene (Harvey) Wesnidge, born near Carnegie, Oklahoma on March 2, 1944.
Troy attended school in Alfalfa, Oklahoma, until his family’s relocation in 1959 to a farm southwest of Oklahoma City. He completed his education at Moore High School, graduating in 1962. Troy married Helen Levonne Epton on May 24, 1963, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Following high school, Troy began his career in a cabinet shop before joining Denver Gardenhire as a furniture finisher, where he discovered his passion for finishes and millwork. In 1963, encouraged by his friend Bob Scales, Troy accepted a position at The Keller Williams Company in Edmond, Oklahoma. Over 12 years, he advanced from finisher to Vice President, contributing significantly as the company expanded nationally.
In 1974, Troy established Troy Wesnidge Inc. in his Newcastle home garage after moving there with Helen in 1970. Partnering with Danny Boettner, and later joined by his nephews Frank and Dale, Troy dedicated countless hours to building a reputable finishing and refinishing business. The company relocated to Oklahoma City in 1975, then to a larger facility in 1977, and returned to Newcastle in 1979, where it operated for another three decades.
Troy was preceded in death by: his parents, Jack and Gwen Wesnidge; sister, Clara Belle Mc-Bride; brother, Jackie Wesnidge; and wife, Norma Wesnidge.
He is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Helen Wesnidge (divorced); two sons and one daughter, T.J. Wesnidge and wife Meleah of Blanchard, Kevin Wesnidge and wife Lisa of Tuttle, DeDe Granger and husband Ron of Newcastle; seven grandchildren, Chantz Wesnidge and husband Jaysen Sandersen of Orlando, Florida, Aaron Wesnidge and wife Meghan of Blanchard, Chelsea Wesnidge of Tuttle, Shelby Wright and husband Dylan of Blanchard, Miranda Harvey and husband Baylor of Blanchard, Madison Granger of Birmingham, Alabama, Solomon Granger of Oklahoma City; and seven great-grandchildren, Hattie Harvey, Walker Wesnidge, Daxton Wright, Zoey Harvey, Lainey Wright, Charlie Wesnidge, and Sylvie Harvey.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. An online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
