Program is intended to help those who have experienced loss or pain
Each year, Woodland Hills Baptist Church offers a series on Grief Share. They invite anyone who has lost a loved one or is experiencing pain to join them.
A church spokesperson said, “We will be hosting the Grief Share sessions for 2026, and start with ‘Loss of a Spouse’ on Saturday, February 7 in our Student Center from 10 a.m. to noon.”
This is a one-day seminar and the spokesperson said it will help you in many areas with topics such as: Going Through Grief, Dealing with Loneliness and Anxiety, and Moving Forward.
The following week — starting on Thursday, February 12 — they will start the 13-week Grief Share sessions. These are from 10 a.m. to noon each Thursday in the church Student Center.
“This is a video, Workbook, and group discussion setting,” the spokesperson said. “Each session is selfcontained and you may join at any time. Some of the topics are: Is This Normal, Why?, Guilt and Anger, Stuck, and more.”
If you would like to register for either one or both, the spokesperson said please contact Woodland Hills at 405-392-5500 or Beverly 405-326-3940.
“We are looking forward to seeing you there,” the spokesperson said. “We want you to know that we are here to help you through the pain and grief, and You are not alone on this journey.”
Woodland Hills Baptist Church takes as its inspiration for Grief Share from the Bible at 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4. It says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
