2022 Newcastle High School graduate Will Kates, who now plays baseball for Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has earned several preseason honors, according to Sooner State Baseball Report. Kates was named a preseason All-American (third team) by the National College Baseball Writers Association, and he was named to the All Central Region team.
