A love of reading starts early, and the library is your partner in helping children to build a strong beginning. Pioneer Library System (PLS) said it is thrilled to continue its partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) to deliver free, highquality books to children from birth through age five across Cleveland, McClain, and Pottawatomie counties.

The library system says you can sign up your little one for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and spark a lifelong love of reading — one free book at a time. Each month, children enrolled in the program receive a new, age-appropriate book delivered directly to their home, personalized with their name on the mailing label.

Every story is handpicked to engage young readers and inspire a lifelong love of reading. Books are available in English and Spanish.

Getting started is simple: 1. Register your child under the age of five online or by completing a bilingual paper form at any PLS library.

2. Read together! Your first book will arrive in 6–10 weeks, followed by a new one each month until your child’s fifth birthday.

3. Keep your address updated to ensure the joy of reading continues without interruption.

Families can learn more and register by visiting pioneerlibrarysystem. org/services/ imagination-library or stopping by their local PLS branch. Currently, more than 11,000 children are registered to receive free books throughout the three-county library system.

“We would love to see every family with children under the age of five register and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity,” said Beth Lyle, Tecumseh branch manager and DPIL Coordinator for PLS. “Any child from birth until their fifth birthday who lives in Cleveland, McClain, or Pottawatomie Counties is eligible to receive a free book each month. Help us get every eligible child enrolled to build a brighter future.”

This program is made possible in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness, and the Pioneer Library System Foundation.
