Racer boys basketball 3-1 into 2026

Antwi-Donkor, Williams Jr., Brammer lead Newcastle scoring efforts

Into the new year, the Racers have won three games while losing only one in basketball competition. Newcastle beat Santa Fe South, 80-42, Bishop McGuiness, 6640, and then lost to Classen School of Advanced Studies, 62-58, before winning again against Altus, 60-32.

The games put Newcastle at 12-2 for the season, and 7-2 against Class 5A competition. The Racers have lost only to Del City and Classen SAS. Newcastle was scheduled to play Class 5A Duncan on Tuesday night. The game was past Newcastle Pacer print deadlines for the week.

The Racers host the 2026 Sweet Pea Invitational Tournament beginning at 8:30 p.m. tonight (Thursday) against Putnam City.

Against Bishop McGuiness, Ivan Antwi-Donkor led scoring with 24 points. Tony (TJ) Williams Jr. scored 20. Kolton Brammer had 8, while Alan Price and Jon’Tre Sloan had 3 each. Owen Wright added 1. In the game with Santa Fe South, Brammer led Racer scoring with 15. Antwi-Donkor had 12 and Joey Folsom and Sloan had 10 each. Williams, Price, and Wright each had 6, and Harmon Warmouth had 4.

Against Classen SAS, Williams bucketed 22 points and Antwi-Donkor had 15. Brammer netted 8, Sloane had 6, and Folsom had 5.

In the Altus game, Brammer led scoring with 15 points. Antwi-Donkor had 11 and Williams had 10. Folsom, Sloan, and Wright hit for 6 each, and Price, Carston Pueppke, and Jacob Pack had 2 each.
