As the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce kicks off a new year, they want to share a quick update regarding their January schedule and how they are approaching the start of the year moving forward.
Beginning this year, the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce will use the month of January as an administrative and planning month.
“This dedicated time allows us to reflect, plan, and prepare intentionally for a strong and successful year ahead — ensuring we continue to bring meaningful programs, events, and opportunities to our members,” said CEO/Executive Director Gayla Riddle.
What this means for January: • The Chamber will still host its Morning Mingle.
• The Chamber will continue to celebrate members with Ribbon Cuttings.
• The Chamber will not hold a January Luncheon.
Riddle said historically, January luncheons have seen lower attendance as many are coming off the holidays and easing into the new year.
Additionally, Riddle said the Chamber’s valued sponsors prefer to invest in luncheons that are well attended and provide the greatest opportunity for visibility and engagement.
By pausing the January luncheon, Riddle said the Chamber can better serve both its members and sponsors throughout the remainder of the year.
A note of thanks
She said, “We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support. We are excited about what’s ahead and look forward to gathering with you soon at our upcoming events.
“As always, thank you for being an active and valued part of the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce.”
