Three wins gave the Newcastle Racers a Championship trophy on a trip to Lawton over the weekend. It also extended their season to 8 wins and only one loss.
The Racers nabbed their first place at the Great Plains Invitational. Racer senior guard Kolton Brammer was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. And, making the All-Tournament team from Newcastle were senior forward TJ Williams and senior forward Ivan Antwi- Donkor.
For their tournament victory, the Racers played Ferris, Texas, Moore and Classen School of Advanced Studies.
Other teams competing were Lawton High School, Lawton MacArthur, Lawton Eisenhower, and Northwest Classen.
