McClain-Grady County Emergency Medical Services went on a total of 308 calls for the month of October. Among those were 171 billed, and 139 non-transport.
Their average response time was 8.47 minutes, and they traveled an average of 11.28 miles per patient transport.
Sick calls were the most numerous of the calls they responded to, while falls and auto accidents came in second and third.
Types of calls were the following: Abdominal pain, 12; allergic reaction, 2; ALS transfer, 1; altered consciousness, 4; anxiety episode, 5; assault, 8; auto accident, 38; BLS transfer, 1; burn, 1; cardiac arrest, 10; chest pain, 19; choking, 3; event standby, 8; fall, 43; hemorrhage, 1; hyperglycemia, 2; hypertension, 2; hypoglycemia, 3; hypotension, 3; laceration, 1; intoxication, 5; lift assist, 15; and overdose 6. Other calls were: psychiatric emergency, 1; seizure, 12; shortness of breath, 22; sick call, 59; stabbing, 1; stroke, 4; syncope, 12; traumatic injury, 2; and welfare check, 2.
