Newcastle’s Lady Racers again dominated their opponent as Duncan made the trip here to a 93-18 loss.
The Racers hit four buckets from three-point range, 10 two-pointers, and added a couple of free throws to score 34 points in the first period. They added another 25 in the second period, to lead Duncan, 59-9, at halftime.
Newcastle scored another 29 in the third period, and then five more in the fourth for their total of 93. Duncan had 5, 4, 2 and 7 respectively for their 18 points, showing the Racers’ prowess on defense.
Nine Racers scored in the game. They were led by Reagan Greenroyd with 21 points. Amara King added 14. Emerson Marble and Ziyah Sims had 10 each. Jordyn Richardson and Jailiana Salas had 9 each. Lilly Taliaferro had 8. Ava Snider hit 7, and Kaelin Horton had 5.
Newcastle played against Del City on Tuesday this week. Because of Newcastle Pacer print deadlines, the outcome of the game could not be reported.
