The Outpost Print and Ship Center in Newcastle not only hosted the Morning Mingle with the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce this month, but also made a big announcement.

They are currently at 2160 N. Main Suite C in Newcastle, but will be moving in February to a new location, about 50-100 feet away, according to owner Larry Kincaid, They are also planning a fiveyear anniversary celebration. These are hoped to take place in February 2026.

The Newcastle business provided coffee, cinnamon rolls, and other breakfast THE OUTPOST on page 3 items to the Chamber and community members who attended the Morning Mingle on Friday, November 7. The Mingle is a time for the host business to tout its offerings and wares, and for attendees to network and learn about local businesses. For The Outpost, this meant showcasing their diverse amount of goods — many items that are not available anywhere else locally. Accompanying their print, pack and ship services, The Outpost has gifts, cards, seasonings, soup packets, Skinny mixes, and bath and beauty products, among other items.

THE OUTPOST: Local business has printing, but also diverse offering

They recently began framing services, and can frame photos to 18x24 or 16x20. They also have a frameless canvas they can create.

Kincaid told those attending that he would like to see more of the local print business stay local. He said The Outpost charges 40-50% less than what others charge. During the Mingle, he went back and forth from talking to attendees to his printing, where he was working on blue prints.

Kincaid said The Outpost does quality work, and has new equipment which is faster and better than some of his competitors. He said this helps keep prices low. He said they are constantly studying to determine best ways to do things.

He also said he wants The Outpost to be a destination location for people who reside outside of Newcastle. Aiding them in their endeavor are the many products they offer, and the fact that they are the largest distributor of Skinny Mixes in the state. Kincaid said they are always looking for new products or ideas.

“If you have a product or service that you would like to see, let us know,” he said.

As part of their commitment to Newcastle, The Outpost recently donated to the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce a canvas original print of a photo of the old South Canadian River bridge taken by City of Newcastle Director of Information Scott Hannan.
