Games provide day of Royal fun

Literacy and a love of learning were the focus when the Newcastle Library put together the 3rd Annual Royal Games.

They were held Saturday November 8 at the Library and at Veterans Park. Organizers said it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and families and their young royals were able to gather for a celebration of curiosity, learning, and fun. The event was made possible by community support and members of the event committee, led by Foundation Board Member Carlee Jacks, board members Jeannette McNally, Melissa Pruitt, and Kyle Caldwell, and staff from the Pioneer Library System’s Blanchard, Newcastle, and Purcell Public Libraries. Organizers said they also give special thanks to the PLS Programming Department and the PLS Mobile Maker Lab for their creativity and teamwork. They said it made the Royal Games a truly magical day.
