Newcastle High School cheerleaders Anistyn Puckett (junior), Molly Stevens (sophomore), and Kennedy Herndon (senior), along with Newcastle Middle School cheerleader Emmy Stevens (8th Grader), have earned the prestigious opportunity to cheer in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The parade is Thursday, November 27 in New York City.
These talented Racer cheerleaders received an invitation to participate in the iconic parade after being named All-Star Cheerleaders at the Jeff and Craig Cheer Camps in June 2025. To earn All-Star status, cheerleaders must be evaluated on motion technique, jumps, tumbling, spirit, and overall enthusiasm.
The honor reflects a blend of athletic ability, sharp execution, and a consistently positive attitude — qualities that stood out to judges across multiple cheerleading elements.
The athletes will travel to New York City for a six-night adventure with Spirit of America Productions, the exclusive provider of cheer and dance
