Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

The Royal Games return to McClain County

The Pioneer Library System Foundation invites families to the 3rd Annual Royal Games, a free, family-friendly garden party for children and their caregivers, from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, November 8 at Veterans Park in Newcastle.

This year marks the first time the Royal Games will be held in Newcastle.

A library spokesperson said this enchanting event will transport children and their caregivers into a world of princes, princesses, knights, and jesters through games, crafts, story time, and other hands-on activities. Kids are encouraged to wear medieval or royal costumes to add to the fun.

“Events like the Royal Games bring families together for a joyful afternoon while also helping us enhance library programming and services in McClain County,” said Will Merrick, development officer for the Pioneer Library System Foundation.

Proceeds from the Royal Games will benefit the Pioneer Library System’s Mc- BENEFIT on page 2 Clain County branches, which are located in Blanchard, Newcastle, and Purcell. Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses and organizations that want to support the event.
