The deadline to request absentee ballots by mail is approaching. Applications must be received by the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2025.
McClain County Election Board Secretary, Karen Haley, said absentee voting is available to all voters and applications can be submitted several ways. “In Oklahoma, no excuse is needed to vote by absentee ballot, and it’s easy to apply! Voters can submit their application online, in-person, mail, or even email”, said Karen Haley.
Voters can apply online using the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma. gov/elections/ovp. Applications are also available at the County Election Board or can be downloaded at oklahoma. gov/elections.
Haley reminds voters that only the applicant can submit his or her own absentee ballot application. It is against the law to submit an absentee ballot application for another person.

EMERGENCY BALLOTS AVAILABLE FOR PHYSICALLY INCAPACITATED VOTERS
Registered voters who become physically incapacitated after 5 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2025, and are unable to make it to the polls, still have an opportunity to cast their ballot.
McClain County Election Board Secretary Karen Haley, said that state law permits voters who become emergency incapacitated after 5 p.m. Monday November 3. Incapacitation is something most voters don’t think about.
If you or someone you know becomes physically incapacitated after 5 p.m. November 3, contact your County Election Board as soon as possible. Haley said Election Board officials will work with you to make sure you have all of the necessary information to cast your ballot.
