OG&E celebrates inaugural Power Supply Appreciation Day
Power Plant workers at McClain Power Plant in Newcastle honored for hard work
Oklahoma Gas & Electric Company (OG&E) celebrated in September its first-ever Power Supply Appreciation Day. This is a day dedicated to recognizing the many professionals across their power supply teams who help energize communities, including those at the McClain Power Plant in Newcastle.
“From power plant operations and resource planning to fuels, market operations, and support services, these team members play a vital role in delivering safe, reliable energy to homes and businesses,” said a company spokesperson. “Their expertise and dedication, alongside ongoing investments in our power plants and grid, continue to energize the communities we serve and support the customers who rely on us every day.”
At the McClain Power Plant and across the OG&E service area, the essential work of these team members keeps the OG&E communities connected and thriving. In addition to their role in providing reliable energy, OG&E’s power supply employees are also active community members, serving as volunteer firefighters, hosting local fishing clinics for children, and giving back in many other ways.
OG&E invites the community to join them in thanking power supply workers for energizing area homes, businesses, and lives.
