Oklahoma Electric Cooperative (OEC) will host its 2025 Drive-Thru Annual Meeting on Friday, Oct. 17, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Lloyd Noble Center parking lot on the University of Oklahoma campus.
OEC members who attend will receive a $30 bill credit, an exclusive gift pack, and the opportunity to win one of four $500 grand prizes. The gift pack includes a two-gallon bucket, ball cap, and ice cream spade, with a chance to find a surprise gift card randomly tucked inside.
Following a record-breaking turnout in 2024, OEC’s board of trustees voted to continue with the drive-thru format for a third consecutive year.
“We registered 3,731 members last year in our second Drive-Thru Annual Meeting — beating the 2023 attendance record,” said Brianna Wall, manager of marketing and member relations. “Those numbers, along with the positive responses we received on post-meeting surveys, led to the decision to continue with a drive-thru format.”
Because the Annual Meeting includes official cooperative business such as voting, it is open exclusively to OEC electric members. While we appreciate all OEC Fiber subscribers, only electric members are eligible to participate, as the meeting is tied to the governance of the electric cooperative.
As in previous years, OEC employees will guide members through the process. Members can register, vote, and pick up their gift packs from the comfort of their vehicles. They can access the Drive-Thru from GT Blankenship Blvd. via South Jenkins Avenue or Chautauqua Avenue.
The business portion of the meeting will be conducted virtually on OEC’s YouTube channel, where members can view updates from the cooperative and watch the live drawing for the $500 grand prize. As part of the cooperative’s annual business, members will vote to approve OEC’s 2024 financials and 2024 Annual Meeting minutes.
