Chamber plans Halloween activities, Evening with mayor

Newcastle Chamber of Commerce has a busy October planned, having already cut the ribbon October 1 on two area businesses that relocated.

Both Triton Foundation Repair and Eric Ledoux’s State Farm Insurance locations have moved. Triton is now at 4790 N. Council Avenue between Blanchard and Newcastle, and Eric Ledoux has moved to 2908 N.W. 32nd Street, Suite C in Newcastle. Ledoux also celebrated 10 years of being in business.

Another ribbon cutting will be at 4:30 p.m. at The Stuffed Olive, 12215 S. Pennsylvania Ave in Oklahoma City. the public is invited to attend.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

The Newcastle Chamber of Commerce will have a Pumpkin Decorating Contest (uncarved pumpkins) for participating businesses. Area residents are invited to visit the businesses and vote for your favorite display.

The contest is from October 20-24 and the top three entries, based on votes obtained, will be displayed for final voting at the City of Newcastle’s October 25 Haunt the Park at Veterans Park.

Shoppers making a purchase at one of the participating businesses will receive a chance to win a holiday prize. Votes can be made by texting 405-387-3232. The contest and the prizes are sponsored by Pioneer Fiber Internet.

Business Bites

The Multi-Chamber Partnership, made up of Newcastle, Blanchard and Tuttle Chambers of Commerce, is from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 14 at Ten Arrows Coffee and Bistro, 217 N. Harrison Avenue in Blanchard.

Participants will have lunch on their own while networking.

Connecting Newcastle

The October business luncheon is all about “Connecting Newcastle.” It will be from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 21 at Newcastle Christian Church, 2200 N. Main Street.

The event, sponsored by OEC/OEC Fiber, Oklahoma Natural Gas, and Pioneer Fiber Internet, will consist of a panel of energy and fiber leaders with a question and answer moderated by Newcastle Assistant City Manager Jeannette McNally. Attendees can expect to receive insights from the local energy and fiber experts. To attend, go online to newcastleok.org and sign up.
 

An Evening with Mayor Nail Area residents will have another chance to see the Newcastle Fire Station #1 as they join the Chamber of Commerce for an evening with Mayor Karl Nail. The event is from 5-7 p.m., Thursday October 23 at the fire station. It is sponsored by Oklahoma Natural Gas.
 

There will be heavy appetizers, refreshments, and city insights. Business Trick or Treat This year’s Business Trick or Treat, sponsored by the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce
and participating area businesses, is from 5-7 p.m.
