The City of Newcastle Parks and Recreation Department invites families to join the Halloween fun at this year’s Haunt the Park, scheduled to take place from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, October 25 at Veterans Park.
This free event features an evening full of fall festivities, including a Trick-or-Treat, pumpkin painting, games, inflatables, and a costume contest (Costume Contest: Starts at 5 p.m. for the following age groups: 0-4, 5-9, 10-13, 14-17, 18+, & Best Group). A variety of food trucks will also be onsite to satisfy every craving.
“Haunt the Park is one of our most loved events of the year,” said Kyle Marks, Newcastle Parks and Recreation director. “It’s all about creating a safe, festive space for families to enjoy the season together.”
Local businesses, churches, and organizations are encouraged to get involved by hosting candy or game booths. Booth participation is free, and each booth is asked to provide its own setup and at least 1,500 pieces of candy. Those interested in signing up can visit NewcastleOK. gov/events.
