MGCEMS responds to 50 sick calls during August

McClain-Grady County Emergency Medical Services made 248 emergency runs for the month of August 2025. They had 150 billed calls and 98 non-transport.

They had an average response time of 8.55 minutes, and ambulances traveled an average of 11.83 per patient transport.

Sick calls led the types of calls made with 50, while auto accident was second with 35 and falls were third with 33.

Types of calls made were the following: Abdominal pain, 10; alcohol intoxication, 1; altered consciousness, 6; animal bite, 2; anxiety episode, 3; assault, 6; auto accident, 35; cardiac arrest, 4; chest pain, 15; choking, 1; event standby, 2; fall, 33; fire standby, 2; GI bleed, 1; hemorrhage, 3; hyperglycemia, 2; hypertension, 3; hyperthemia, 2; hypoglycemia, 1; hypotension, 2; laceration, 1; lift assist, 8; overdose, 2; police standby, 3; psychiatric emergency, 1; seizure, 13; shortness of breath, 19; sick call, 50; sports injury, 1; stroke, 3; suicidal, 1; syncope, 7; traumatic injury, 1; and welfare check, 4.
