McClain County Republicans have set their next meeting for 7 p.m. Monday September 15 at the Newcastle Storm Shelter, 851 North Carr Drive. “Join us as we meet State Senator Darrell Weaver of Moore, candidate for Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor,” said County GOP Chairman Paul Maus. “As the former Director of a state agency, commissioned as an agent with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics in 1987, he held various assignments throughout the state.”
Maus said that in September of 2006, Weaver was appointed Director of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control and then retired after serving the Bureau for 28 years.
In 2014, Senator Weaver was inducted into the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Hall of Fame. He was elected in 2018 to represent Senate District 24.
