Newcastle Racer Fastpitch made the trip to Tulsa over the weekend, going 5-0 at the Northeast Oklahoma Softball Classic. They beat NOAH (home-school organization), 10-1; Beggs, 14-2; Colcord, 6-1; and Verdigris, 1-0.
They have a busy week underway with games against Tuttle on Monday, Purcell on Wednesday, Perkins-Tryon on Thursday, and then at the Dale Firelake Festival starting Friday.
The Racers were coming off a September 3, 6-0 loss to Tuttle, as they headed to Tulsa. They beat Cushing 3-2 in extra innings, and beat Harrah, 6-0, prior to the Tuttle game.
The Racers had a 13-5 record overall and a 3-1 District record on Monday this week.
