Of the 19 cities, towns and McClain County, 10 saw declines in their sales and use tax collections in August 2025 while nine reported gains over the same period in 2024.
That’s the word from the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Among those recording gains were: Newcastle, Purcell, Blanchard, Byars, Dibble, Goldsby, Maysville, Wanette and Washington.
Among those seeing declines were: Cole, Lexington, Lindsay, Norman, Noble, Paoli, Pauls Valley, Slaughterville, Wayne and McClain County.
