Sample ballots will soon be available for the September 9 special election. On the ballot for all McClain County precincts is a reqest by the county commissioners to make the county’s half-cent sales tax permanent. Also on the ballot will be a question for those voters who reside in the Stratford School District.
Voters will be able to download a sample ballot using the State Election Board OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/ elections/ovp or pick up a copy at the McClain County Election Board during normal business hours.
The McClain County Election Board Secretary reminds voters that sample ballots are specific to each person.
“If the OK Voter Portal indicates that you have no sample ballots available, it means you are not eligible to vote in an upcoming election,” she said. “We recommend checking the OK Voter Portal to make sure you have an election before heading to the polls.”
Sample ballots will also be posted outside every involved precinct polling place on Election Day, so voters can review them before casting their votes.
